They exist to tell a specific story, or to visit a particular piece of media. That’s also why podcasts feel like an intimate medium in many cases, these aren’t people playing parts, but are people being themselves sharing something they love with the audience, and you see how their lives change over the course of all those years.īut there are other podcasts, short-form ones with limited runs, that have a different goal. There are shows I listen to that have been running for years without any sign of stopping.
